What types of woodland management do you offer?
We provide a wide range of woodland services including thinning, coppicing, pruning, and habitat improvement tailored to your land and goals. We do not offer felling or tree surgery of trees close to houses, roads or people where the services of a professional Tree Surgeon should be employed.
Do you offer tree felling and removal?
It depends. If safe to do so, we will carry out tree felling and removal, including storm-damaged or diseased trees, always prioritising safety and ecological balance. But for any trees close to houses, roads or people we will always recommend employing the services of a professional Tree Surgeon.
Can you help with firewood supply?
Absolutely. We sustainably harvest and season hardwood logs for domestic firewood use. Local delivery is available free within a ten mile radius of LN4 3WF. For distances further than that we will charge mileage at HMRC rates.
How do you ensure your logging practices are environmentally responsible?
We have a Woodland Management Plan approved by Forestry England in place and we follow sustainable forestry principles through selective harvesting, replanting where needed, and protecting habitats to support long term woodland health.
What kind of equipment do you use?
We use low-impact, professional-grade forestry equipment suited to both small and large-scale jobs. This helps minimize damage to the surrounding environment.
Can you help turn felled wood into usable timber or products?
Not yet. We only offer split firewood logs currently. However, we do intend to offer more wood products and services in due course including saw milling and offering finished wood products for sale. Keep an eye on this website for details.
Do you work with landowners, councils, or estates?
Yes, we work with a variety of clients from private landowners to local authorities and estate managers. We will tackle any job that is within our capabilities.
Can you help me create a woodland management plan?
Yes. Having gone through the process ourselves, we can work with you to develop a Woodland Management Plan ready for approval by Forestry England.
